Life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is one of the most important figure in the history of Islam. He was the final prophet of Islam.

Early life:

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was born in 570 CE in Mecca. He was born in Quraysh tribe, one of the most respected tribe in the region. When he came into the world, the idols of Kaaba fell over, in a distant city Medina a bright star appeared in the sky. The courtroom of Persian king shook and collapsed as if the world was welcoming the arrival of him. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the descended of prophet Ishmael (peace be upon him). His father, Abdullah, passed aways before his birth and his mother, Amina died when he was only six. At that time because of the tradition of Arab, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)was raised by his milk mother Halima Saadia. Orphaned at young age, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was raised by his grandfather Abdul-Muttalib and later by his uncle Abu Talib. Once when he accompanied his uncle, on a journey to Syria, they met a monk named Bahira. He understood all the characteristics were pointing to the future prophet. Muhammad was known in Mecca as Al-Amin, meaning trustworthy. During this time, he married to a wealthy and respected businesswomen Khadija. She married to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) because of his characteristics. She was the only wife until her death. Their marriage lasted for 25 years.

Life as a Prophet:

At the age of 40 Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was in the cave of Hira, angel Jibril (the bringer of good news) proclaimed that Allah, the almighty god, had appointed him as a prophet and said the first sura of Quran. When he returned home, he told Khadija everything and she believed in him. Thus a new phase began in the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).The noble Quran was considered the greatest miracle bestowed upon Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). While giving dawah of tawhid, once the disbelievers asked him to split the moon in two and said, "if you could do it we will convert to Islam". So he did in fact split the moon in two. But no one converted. This phenomenon was noticed by an Indian king Cheraman Perumal. He traveled to Arab to meet Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and accepted Islam. This was one of many miracles in his lifetime.

Miraj(The Ascendence):

A miracle that transcended the boundaries of our known reality known as Miraj. One night, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was taken from his bed and brought to Jerusalem with a special being named "Burak" apparently from another dimension. In the presence of Jibril he ascended from there to heavens. There the prophet traversed seven mysterious spheres until he reached the final gate. On the way he witnessed many other angel in different forms. After reaching the seventh sphere the prophet reached a place called "Bait-utl-Ma'mur", pilgrimage site for angels similar to Kaaba. Eventually, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) reached  the "Sidratul Al Muntaha", the tree at the utmost boundary no one can surpass. On the way continuing his journey alone, the prophet heard the sound of a writing pen whose volume conquered the entire dimension with its resonance. Finally, he met Allah, where no time, space or dimension existed.

Hijra(the emigration):

But when followers started to rise the idolaters became desperate and tried to kill him. So Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the followers had to fled to Medina and fought with the idolaters and won. Later with 10,000 troops he conquered Mecca.

To conclude, the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) serves as a profound and timeless example of compassion, perseverance, and dedication to a higher purpose. As we reflect on the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), it becomes clear that his message transcends time and place. It is a call to all people to live with integrity, strive for social justice, and pursue peace and understanding in an ever-changing world. His life is not just a chapter in history, but a beacon of guidance that remains as relevant today as it was over 1,400 years ago.

May we all find inspiration in his words and actions, and strive to embody the qualities that he exemplified: mercy, kindness, and unwavering commitment to the truth.
