Narikel Jinjira commonly known as Saint Martin Island is a small island in the northeastern part of  the Bay of Bengal. It is the most scenic destination in Bangladesh. It is about 9 km south of the tip of the  Teknaf peninsula. It is known for its coconut groves that is why it is called Narikel Jinjira and its  crystal water, coral fish is also attracts tourists. Saint Martin is a topical paradise which have  enthusiastic beaches. To escape from the hustle life it is perfect destination for refreshing mind.

Special Things to See                                              The most attractive scene is the seagull is following your ship when you started the journey from  Teknaf. Moreover, it is the only coral island in Bangladesh where you can enjoy coral fish fry.  People can also enjoy the night sea view from hotels. Moreover, not only coral people can enjoy  different types of seafood like crabs and lobster etc. Besides. you can explore the native culture  from the local people. The hospitality of the local people warms your mind. You can also ride  Shampan a type of boat. The sunset blows the mind of tourists from the beach. People also ride  cycle across the beach with beautiful scenery of the sea. At night the sky is sparkled with  countless stars the most magical scenery. There is a small beach named Chera Deep another  destination for tourist attraction. This small island can be reached by boat,

Suitable time for visit

The best time for visit here are November and February in the time of winter. During this time the remains calm so that people can swim and many other activities. In Bangladesh winter is the tourist season so it is wise if you book hotels and transportation. In monsoon the transportation services may delay due to rain. So, if you want to avoid rain winter is the best time to visit.

Best way to get to Saint Martin

There are two ways to reach St Martin. Firstly reach to Teknaf and book a ship named
Keari  Sindbad or Keari Cruise which takes two hours to reach St Martin. The second way is Shampan which is  too risky. So, avoid Shampan is a wise decision.

Sharing own experience
A memorable trip which stole my heart. The journey was started by a ship from Teknaf with my family at  the month of November. After we had reached we stayed at a hotel in front of the beach. I had spent a  peaceful time and enjoy the natural beauty of the sea. Sometime I recall the moments like – cycling on  the beach, enjoying the sunset, the taste of fresh seafood etc. I also saw a Jelly fish which was beautiful.  The night sky was a magical experience for me. The sky was full of stars which were sparkling and the  full moon was covered by the sparkling stars. Moreover, I also visited the cheradep which was the most  scenic place I saw. Also, I met with the locals and visited the traditional local market. Then I saw the  “Shomudro
bilash” the house of Dr.Humayun Ahmed which is located on Daruchinidep. Overall, the  memories are unforgettable and the experienced pleased me a lot.
